All  the rumors that simultaneously with the presentation of the iPhone 5 and 5 iOS Apple will announce  iPad 3 , dispelled by the site DigiTimes. According to the newspaper, Apple has canceled plans to produce new model Tablet PC iPad this year.

The new device can have a 9.7-inch display Retina with a resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels. But the Japanese Sharp Inc for Apple was too expensive, and more pliant Koreans from Samsung and LG Display are simply not able to cope with large-scale orders of the company. As a result, the planned order – 1.5 -2 million units for the autumn launch and a further 6 million in the winter of 2011 – was completely ripped off.

In addition, according to DigiTimes, the production of displays for the iPad Retina three have “technical difficulties”:

The 9.7 inches panel with an increased resolution requires more light, and the current model can not provide an acceptable level. Since the new plate must be thin, durable and have rich colors – all this does not allow to use the panel, which is available now.

The concept of Retina Display was introduced for the iPhone 4 in June 2010. Smartphone screen got a resolution of 960 x 640 pixels, and was called the “retina” because of the highest density of pixels, the normal human eye can not distinguish the individual points. If iPad 2 dot density of 132 dpi, then into the third generation of Apple tablet its increased to 250-300 dpi.

Thus, all the rumors about the debut of  iPad this fall, have been contradicted and we have to wait for the next Apple tablet according to the traditional schedule, ie at the beginning of next year.
