Apple has released two tools that enhance the functionality of the new operating system from Apple. We are talking about applications Find My Friends (find friends) and the AirPort Utility for iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad.

Find My Friends is a new free service from Apple, that allows you to easily share your location with close friends on a map or on a list.


Your Friends and family will be displayed on the map, so you have the ability to quickly see where they are. Thanks to Find My Friends, you can temporarily share your location with a group of friends.

Features Find My Friend:

  • A convenient search of friends and family members;
  • Temporary function of opening up access;
  • Easily control access levels;
  • Parental control;
  • Free for iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad.

Find My Friends will display a notification every time you will receive a new application to add them to friends, and, with your permission, your new friend will know your location. Parental controls can help limit the application Find My Friends to the child.

The second application is AirPort Utility which allows you to manage your Wi-Fi network and AirPort base stations, including AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and Time Capsule directly from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. See a graphical overview of your Wi-Fi network and devices. Change base station and network settings, or manage advanced features such as security modes, wireless channels, and more.

In other words AirPort Utility is a service utility to install and configure Wi-Fi hotspots AirPort Extreme, Time Capsule, AirPort Express for iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad. Now you can control the base stations for mobile devices Apple!
